Understand Viewed and Completed

Email engagement and signatures represent different events.

  1. Viewed means an invitation email open was detected or the signing link opened to the consent page. Accepting consent is not required. It does not mean the document was signed. Some email apps block images or fetch them automatically, so an email open is not proof of reading.
  2. The activity record distinguishes invitation opens from document views and signing events.
  3. Completed appears after all required signatures are saved and the final document finishes processing.
  4. If the page is stale, refresh it. If processing fails, use the retry option shown on the agreement rather than signing again.
